教学目标
1 Review some important words and expressions that are used to describe a good friend. 2 Write an essay about how to make a good friend using the words ,expressions and sentences of unit 1.
3 Learn some other sayings about friendship.
学情分析
This is the last lesson of unit 1. 75 percent of the students have grasped the words and expressions . And they have learned some important sentences of the text.However,there are still some students who don't have a good knowledge of English.Some of them even can't read the words and expressions.The skilled students can read and write the words, expressions and sentences fluently.According to this situation,I divide the students into six groups.They can help each other by doing teamwork.In each group,some are good at speaking,some do well in writing,some are fond of show themselves ,and others have a gift \\ for making sentences.In the process of teaching,I have designed some activities to encourage every student to take part in the discussions.
重点难点

教学过程
Step 1 Leading-in
1. Show the picture of Auld Lang Syne (友谊地久天长) to the students,And ask them to sing the English song to the music. Singing the song can make the students excited and r
emind them of some words about friendship. The students are in high spirits with the nice song.
2. Show the students the topic and the teaching aims. 3. T: what does each letter in “friendship” mean? (Show the next picture) F means faithful /friendly / fair R means reliable / responsible I means interesting E means equal /encouraging N means nice D means devoted S means sharing /sincere H means honest /helping I means independent P means polite / patient
While showing the pictures, encourage the students to read the words together
Step 2 Teaching and learning
1. T:Do you have a good friend? Ss: Yes , I have.
T:Do you like to make good friends? Ss : Yes, I do.
T: what do you think a good friend should be like? Let us have a brain-storming . Discuss in group
(The students begin to discuss, trying to find as more words as possible. The teacher can help them)
2. After discussing, let us have a quick—answer. The students give the answers one by one. Some words are easy . They can understand and spell them. But some are difficult, for example, loyal(忠实的), generous(慷慨的),handsome (英俊的),easygoing (随和的),responsible (负责的),wise(明智的) ,selfless (无私的) Praise those who do very well ( give them a hand)
3. Look at the screen, and show the words one by one to the students , meanwhile, ask them to read.After learning the words,tell them I will give you two sentences to describe a good friend.
1 I think a good friend should be …( junior)
2 In my opinion, a good friend is someone who is …(senior)
Keep the tow sentences in mind. Then ask them to make sentences to describe a good friend using the sentences without referring to them. Each group make a sentence using the given two. Make sentences together with “wise”
Add some words to describe a bad friend: mean 小气的, narrow-minded, dishonest, Impatient tricky狡猾的selfish自私的, lazy
Add the important sentences of unit1.They can help us finish the essay. They are 1 While walking the dog ,you were careless and it got loose and was hit by a car. 2 It was the first time that I had seen the night face to face.
3 Although I try to talk to my classmates, I find it hard to make friends with them. Read them and pay attention the coloured words.

:参考中文提示,写一段话,要求适当应用本单元的词、短语和句型。请你给Jack 写封回信 得知Jack : 第一次来中国,与人交流时感到紧张,有的人很自私,与人相处困难
建议:与诚实的人交朋友。与人相处,给与安慰和帮助。不要忽略朋友的感受,关心朋友。有意见分歧时要面对面交流。感谢朋友的帮助
Encourage the students to finish it . Try to use as many words and expressions as possible.
While discussing,the teacher observe each group, and give them proper help.
Step4 show the model
Dear Jack,
I know it was the first time that you had come to china. When talking to others, you felt nervous. You found it difficult to get along with others, because some was selfish.
However, it is easy to change .Here are some tips to help you .
Firstly, when your friends are upset ,you’d better calm them down and try to help them solve the problems. Secondly, you should be concerned about your friends rather than ignore them. Thirdly, when your friends disagree with you ,it would be good if you could communicate with them face to face. Last but not least, when they help you ,you should be grateful to them.
Step 5 Learn some other sayings about friendship
At first ,give the only English ,and then try to guess the meaning. The Ss are very interested in them.
1 It’s easier to get piles of gold than a real friend.万两黄金容易得,知音一个也难求。 2Good company on the road is the shortest cut. 结伴同行不觉路远 3Friends are like wine; the older, the better. 朋友似美酒,越陈越香! 4The friendship that can end was never real. 会结束的绝非真友谊!

Introduce one of your good friend ( about 100 words)
