摘要:A temperature-sensitive hydraulic clutch transmits the torque from an inputshaft to a driven seal housing via a fluid and controls the rate of such torque transmissionas a function of variations in an ambient temperature. The housing is mounted on theinput shaft and has a casing, on which are secured fan blades, and a casing cover securedon the casing. The interior of the housing is divided into an oil reservoir and a torque-transmission chamber by a transverse wall which has a flow-adjusting opening which canbe opened and closed by a valve part which is riveted to an intermediate wall and isconnected via a connecting rod to a temperature-sensitive element such as, for example,a bimetallic element secured on the outer surface of the casing cover. A driving disc isarranged in the torque-transmission chamber, with a narrow interspace defined by thedisc and a surface of the housing which forms the torque-transmission chamber. In theinterior, the housing has a barrier which is arranged in a region where oil is collected dueto the centrifugal forces which arise during the rotation of the driving disc. Oil iscontrolled by the barrier so as to flow from the torque-transmission chamber to the oilreservoir via a circulation passage formed between them in the casing cover in order inthis way to effect an increase or a reduction in an effective surface of contact of the oilbetween the driving disc and the casing within the narrow interspace as a function of

changes in the ambient temperature. One end of the connecting rod is passed eitherthrough the bimetallic element or the valve part and its other end, which is held in asupporting manner by the other part, with the result that the connecting rod can berotated about its own axis in order to adjust its axial extent or length for the actuation ofthe seal part in order to open the flow-adjusting opening when the bimetallic element isat a desired ambient temperature.
