摘要：an apparatus for detecting particles present in a medium (46) disposed in achamber (10) includes a photodetector (14) maintained at a low temperature by meansof a refroidissememt stable type peltier (42). the light scattered by the particle material(46) is focused by a spherical lens (34) on the input surface of a lens (30) stem (22).thelatter has a perspective of 0.5 and transfers the image to the light-emitting surface (25),where it is then, after passing through a light guide (18) to the sensitive part (16) of thephotoelectric device (14). the lens and rod (22) is an economical way to transfer the lightand acts as a thermal barrier.thus, while the photoelectric device (14) is maintained at alow temperature, the entrance surface (30) of the lens (22) stem can be maintained at thetemperature of the medium in the chamber (70) and is not subject to condensation or iceformation.the lens (34) is mounted through a collar (28) which can be slid to a positionwhere the lens (34) focuses the light entrance surface (30) of the lens (22), and is thenfixed in this position by the uv adhesive cured at discharge.
