摘要：The invention relates to a plasmid, other than a plasmid in a naturally occurringhost/plasmid combination, carrying one or more genes which confer phage insensitivityupon or subsp. as well as bacteria, the capability of conferring phage insensitivity notbeing destroyed by temperatures of up to 40°C. Two such plasmids are characterized interms of their sensitivity to restriction endonucleases. The invention further relates toDNA from such a plasmid which encodes phage insensitivity. The invention also providesbacterial hosts containing a plasmid as above and food starter cultures containing suchbacterial hosts.
