摘要：An embodiment of the invention relates to an electronic device for processinginterrupt requests. Interrupt requests that have the highest priority level are identifiedout of a plurality of interrupt requests. A priority word corresponding to a priority levelis assigned to each interrupt request. The highest bit level of the bits at the mostsignificant bit position of the priority words is identified. The bit level of the bit at themost significant bit position is compared with the highest bit level at this bit position. Thepriority words are then evaluated and compared consecutively and bit-by-bit. Prioritywords having a bit level at the respective bit position that corresponds to the highest bitlevel are further processed whereas priority words having a different bit level at therespected bit position are discarded.
