Academic Experience

During the first winter vacation at HUST, I spent about 20 days to study Language C on my own and passed the admission exam of the Electrical and Electronic Innovation Centre

During the first summer vacation, I took part in the Electrical and Electronic Innovation Centre, studying the analogous circuit and carrying out circuit experiments, and graduated with high marks.

Also during the first summer vacation, as a group leader, I led my team to win a third prize in the Competition of Technological Entrepreneurship organized by Juli, an electric company, which focuses on applying what we have learned in practice and try to make a difference to the world.

During my sophomore year, as a team leader, supervised by Pro. Mao, my tutor, I led my team to complete a research project named the micro-power generator based on nano-tech and the variation of space magnetic field, which got the

authorization of my university, won 4000 RMB financial support and obtained the recommendation to apply for financial support from the national government.

During my junior year, I took the chance to be an exchange student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where I became involved in some beneficial lab projects, and especially an application project using Labview.

Membership & Affiliation

May 2009—January 2011 served as the commissary in charge of studies of the College of Qiming in HUST

January 2010—December 2010 served as the president of the Student Union of CEEE, held many activities at school level and college level, such as Orienteering, the \"May Fourth Movement\" speech contest, and the first Freshman Guide of CEEE. The Orienteering held in November 2010 attracted about 1,200 participants and got wide, and positive, public response.

September 2009—December 2009 served as an assistant to the presidium of the Student Union of CEEE, in charge of organizing students in CEEE to take part in the university sports days and anchoring the ACM programming contest

February 2009—July 2009 served as an assistant of the Student Venture Organization

September 2008—February 2009 served as a member of the Sports Department in the HUST Student Union, taking part in the organizing works of many sporting activities

September 2008—February 2010 served as the monitor of the 08 advanced group of CEEE, leading the group to accomplish many meaningful activities; for example, through the teaching activities at the Dongshen School, the biggest school with the largest number of children of migrant workers in Wuhan, we brought them the Dizi Gui, which is a Chinese classic of traditional cultural literature, and a variety of material worth 30,000 RMB, finally resulting Dongshen

School setting Dizi Gui as one of its major teaching tools. Based on this, our group gained the award of the HUST.

Additional Information

By reading books such as the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Persons, Time Management, College Mission and a complaint free world, I have developed

abilities like setting goals and achieving them, effective time management, effective communication skills and effective leadership.

Meanwhile, by the study of Dizi Gui and The Analects of Confucius ideas, I never stop learning the traditional Chinese culture and virtues.

Also, by taking the on-line open courses, such as the Positive Psychology of Harvard University, I am preparing myself to become a global citizen.
