摘要:Complex filters may be used to achieve compensation of a plant, correspondingfor example to a power regulator or point-of-load (POL) regulator. Digital filter

coefficients may be mapped to analogous poles and zeros, or they may be mapped tovalues of the quality factor (Q) of the output, frequency, and gain. The plant may beobserved and characterized using a network analyzer to generate the Bode plot (orNyquist plot) for the plant. The digital filter coefficients may be mapped to features thatmay be identified on the Bode plot (or Nyquist plot) to easily correlate characteristics ofthe digital filter or digital compensator to the plant characteristics. The mapped featuresmay be adjusted, for example by a user, either manually or by executing one or moreoptimization algorithms, to achieve the desired results relative to the Bode plot (orNyquist plot). The mapped features may then be reverse mapped to the digital filter ordigital compensator coefficients to fine tune and implement the digital filter or digitalcompensator.
