摘要： Method for lubricating a steel cable consisting of a cable pull the steel througha chamber containing lubricant under pressure. The chamber has an exit and an entrancelined with rubber sleeves through which the cable passes. A liquid lubricant is used,preferably a lubricating oil, which is passed into the chamber using a pump having a highpressure at least 20 bar and preferably over 40 bar, but with a capacity relatively lowthroughput. The speed of passage of the steel cable through the chamber is adaptedsuch that the hollow spaces in the cable absorb steel supply oil to eliminate oil leakage.The implementation device of the method comprises a chamber (4) with lubricant underpressure, having an inlet (13) and an outlet (12) for the steel cable (11). A supply pipeDebouche lubricant in the chamber, and a pressure pump maintains the lubricant underpressure. The pump is a suction pump which can provide a pressure of at least 20 bar,preferably over 40 bar, but has a small discharge capacity.
