In fact I like winter very much. The major reasons why I like winter very much are:
First, in winter we can enjoy our winter holidays at home or with friends. We don’t need to go to school, and that makes us feel relaxed and happy.
Second, we also celebrate our spring festival in winter. We can visit our relatives and set up fireworks with our family during the spring festival. We will have a wonderful time!

XXX is my favorite teacher. I like her because first of all, she is very pretty/ kind/ warm-hearted. Secondly, she is very knowledgeable / humorous/ passionate. Thirdly, she is strict with us in class, but very friendly after class and often plays with us. Last but not least, she gives us little homework/ often tells interesting stories in class. That is why I like her very much. I hope I can be a teacher like her when I grow up.

My favorite singers are S.H.E. I like them because they are all pretty girls and they form a good combination. They not only sing well but also dance beautifully at the same time. I am not very much of a singer myself. I wish I could sing as beautifully as they do one day. Singing is fun. Listening to their songs is also entertaining.

My favorite color is green. The reasons why I like green best are: First, green represents the nature, and I like nature very much.
Second, I like green plants very much because they can make us healthy. My father and I always put some green plants in our house. They make us feel comfortable.
Last but not least, Green vegetables also make our body healthy and stronger. I like green vegetables very much and always eat a lot.

My favorite film star I Jackie Chen. I like him because his acting in the martial art films is wonderful. I saw his performance in Around the World In eighty Days. He was cool. I really enjoyed it. What is your favorite cartoon star? In my opinion, I like Mickey Mouse best. The reasons why I consider Mickey Mouse as my favorite cartoon star are as follows: Firstly, I think Mickey Mouse is very cute and smart. He has two big ears and two black eyes. Secondly, Mickey Mouse is always very helpful and kind. He always helps others a lot. He is also very kind to others. Last but not least, I can see Mickey Mouse in the Disney Land and play with him. Do you like to go to the zoo or the aquarium? In my opinion I like to go to the zoo better than the aquarium. The reasons why I like to go the zoo are as follows: Firstly, I like animals very much and if I go to the zoo I can see many different animals. Among all these animals I like tigers and lions best. Secondly, I can see many animal shows in the zoo such as the dolphin shows and elephant shows. I enjoy them very much. Last but not least, in the zoo, I can feed some of the animals by myself. Yes. I have two pet tortoises. One is light green while the other is dark green. They were tiny when my mother first bought them. They used to live in a small basin. Now they have grown up and live in a large bucket. They eat a lot when the weather is warm but hardly eat anything in winter. They hibernate in winter. They are so cute that I like them very much. I often spend time with them.
Which animal are you afraid of?
Among all the animals, I am afraid of snakes most. Snakes are reptile and cold-blooded animals which are hidden in grass or other dark places. And they can move very fast to attack other animals including human beings. First some snakes are poisonous. People will die in no time when they are bitten by it. Second snakes can kill the people when the snakes (body) wrap around his neck tightly. I think you have same feeling as me, don’t you?
Describe the elephant
Elephants are large land mammals which live in Asia and Africa, but we can only see them in the zoos. Elephant has two big ears, one long nose. The elephant can use the trunk to catch food and drink water. The elephant is a very clever animal with its good memory which can help them find food and water and avoid the dangers at the same time. The elephant can help people carry heavy objects in Thailand. Many circuses have the elephant to make fun of people. So I like this lovely animal. Do you think it is good to have a mobile phone?
What do you know about turtles?
The turtles are reptile and cold-blooded animals. It lays eggs instead of baby so it is not mammal. Here are some reasons that I like this animal.
1) The turtle is very kind animal and never attack human being. So the children like to play with it.
2) The turtle is the symbol of long life/longevity. So many people like to feed the turtle as a pet. These are the reasons that I like this animal very much.
What’s your favorite city in China?
My favorite city is Shanghai. For one thing I was born in Shanghai and I love my home city. Secondly, Shanghai is a commercial city. It’s easy to do shopping here. Traffic in Shanghai is very convenient. Shanghai is a metropolitan city. More and more foreigners are coming to live and work here. I am proud of being a Shanghainese. The 2010 World Expo will be held in Shanghai. I hope to be a volunteer then.

I have different kinds of entertainment/hobbies. In summer I like swimming. In winter, I enjoy skating while in other seasons I enjoy riding bikes. Reading books gives me a lot of entertainment, not textbooks, of course. I also like drawing very much. I like reading and drawing best of all.
What’s your favorite subject?
In school, I learn quite a few subjects. My favorite subject is drawing. I am pretty good at drawing. Therefore, our teacher Miss Tang likes me and appreciates my works of art. She even sent me to take part in a drawing competition. l I didn’t let her down. I won a second prize. I hope to teach drawing some day.
What is your favorite film?
My favorite film is Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon. It is a martial art film directed by Lee Ang. I think it’s very interesting. I like the characters acting and the plot. I was deeply moved when I saw it. Its director won an Oscar Award because of this film. He certainly deserved the title. I think the film is well worth seeing again.
What is your favorite traditional Chinese festival?
My favorite traditional Chinese festival is Spring Festival. It falls on January 1st of the lunar Chinese calendar. Every family buys a lot of delicacies and cleans the house thoroughly. On New Year’s Eve, we have a family reunion dinner/ a big dinner. We also watch CCTV gala program. Children receive lucky money, which is the happiest thing. We have nothing but fun.
What is your favorite western holiday?
My favorite western holiday is Halloween. It is somewhat like our Qingming festival. It is on Oct. 31. People are dressed up like ghosts. Kids play trick or treat on their neighbors, going from door to door to ask for candies. People also set off firecrackers. Everybody has a good time.
What is your favorite computer game?
My favorite computer game is called NEO PETS. In the game, I keep a cat-like electronic pet called NEO. I have to earn electronic money to buy toys, food and a house for it. If I don’t make enough money, I have to turn to others for help. My beloved pet will suffer. It will have to live on rotten apples and wear old boots. I will feel terrible then. By playing this game, I learn to take care of others and build up a sense of responsibility.
What do you think of computer games?
I think computer games are fun to play. Some computer games are not only interesting, challenging, but also instructive. For example, by playing NEO pets, I have learnt to take care of others and I have also built up a sense of responsibility. It’s ok to play computer games as a relaxation, but extremes are dangerous. We must never spend too much time in front of computer screens as it is bad for our eyes. Also it will influence my study.

What sports do you like best?
Of all the sports activities, I like swimming and riding bikes best. In summer, I go swimming every day. It’s really enjoyable to be in the cool swimming pool when it is hot outside. In other seasons, I ride bikes to keep myself fit. I have also made some new friends through these activities.
What books do you like reading?
I like to read a variety of books. I like story books, pictures book, comic strips, fairy tales and so on. Books are food of the mind. We gain knowledge from books and put them in use in real life. They help us to become useful citizens after we grow up.
What kind of TV programs do you like best?
Like many other children of my age, I enjoy watching TV programs. Of all the programs, I like cartoon and news best. Cartoon programs are not only entertaining but instructive as well. It is a good pastime. Cartoon programs are the common interest of my classmates and me. So we always have topics to talk about. News keeps me informed about what is happening in the world.

In my opinion, I prefer news programs to entertainments. The reasons why I like news programs better are:
First, news programs can give us a lot of information or news from many aspects. We can know many different kinds of information and knowledge from the news programs.
Second, I would like to listen to some English news programs because it can practice our listening a lot. Also we can learn a lot of new and useful words from English news programs.

What can we do to protect the environment?
We have only one world. We must do all we can to take care of it. Personally, I will try to send fewer cards and use fewer thrown-away chopsticks to save trees. As a resident of the global village, I will do what I can to protect the environment. It’s part of my responsibility.

I want to be a teacher of painting in the future. I like painting and I admire Picasso very much. I would like to enter a college and major in painting and become a teacher if possible. I also hope to be a teacher of English like my mother. It all depends. But whatever I do in the future, I will try to do it well.
What can you do to help the needy?
I am always ready to help others. I think if I can help others, I am a useful person. When my classmates have problems with their studies, I will try my best to help them. When I see a

What is one of your dreams?

What kind of homework is helpful to your study?
I think it helpful to preview and review the lessons. By previewing the lesson, I find out what is difficult and what is not. By reviewing the lesson, I consolidate what’s learnt in class. I benefit a lot from these two kinds of homework.

I think English homework helps me most. Here are some reasons for it. 1) English is a widely used language so we must try my best to learn it well.

3) English is a foreign language and we are lack of practice in our daily life. Without doing the English home work, how can we learn it well (master it)? So the English homework helps me a lot.

Do you prefer to be alone or with others?
More often than not, I prefer to be with others. When I do my homework with others, I can turn to people for help if I have any problems. After doing homework, we can chat or play together. It is important to have partners when one wants to play team sports. As the only child in the family, we all need someone to share our sadness as well as our happiness. It’s nice to be with others though sometimes I may like to be alone.
My friend
I have many friends. One of them is my classmate Ma Hua. He is a League member and one of the best students in my class. He is fond of English and good at it. He often practises reading aloud. So he has a good pronunciation.
He is always ready to help others. With his help I have made great progress. I have made up my mind to catch up with him and to join the League in the near future.
My Best Friend
Linda is my best friend. She is 15 years old. She is a pretty girl with a round face and two big black eyes. She always has a smile on her face. She is taller than I.
Every morning, we go to school together. She studies quite well and she’s a top student in our class. She is modest in her behaviour. When I have difficulty in English, I always ask her for help. We are both interested in music. At weekends, we join the same hobby group and play the violin together.

My best friend is XXX. Her English name is XXX. She is a little plump and quite cheerful. She is good at playing Guzheng, a kind of musical instrument. She won a gold prize in a city-wide contest. How do you spend your pocket money?
I receive 20 yuan from my parents every week. I spend some of the money on soft drinks such as Fanta or Sprite, Coca Cola, etc. When I am hungry, I buy snacks, I also use the money to buy stationery such as pencils or erasers. I save some of the money to buy presents for my parents or friends when their birthdays come. Money is useful, but we must spend it wisely. We must not

How do you spend mother’s day?
On mother’s day we can always show our love to our mother. There are several things I do on mother’s day.

Second, I will buy some presents to my mother such as flowers and cards. My mother will be very happy when she gets my presents.
Last but not least, I can take her to the cinema and watch a movie with her.

How Do you spend your Children’s Day? June the first is the Children’s day.
Children’s day is one of the happiest days for children. I can’t wait for it each year!
In the morning, I go to school to celebrate the children’s day with my friends/classmate. In the afternoon, I will go fishing in the park with my parents.
In the evening, there will be a bigger dinner and delicious ice cream after that.
After dinner, I will watch some my favorite Disney cartoon films in the home because we have no time to watch it during school days. So it is a happy children’s day for me.

(Yes), I think it is good to have a mobile phone. Here are some of my reasons.

Today I was very unlucky,because I was ill.I felt terrible and I went to see a doctor. The doctor said I caught a cold , I should have a rest and I should drink a lot of water,too. Then he gave me some medicine and said:\"Take this medicine three times a day, then you will feel better soon.\"

To me ,the most interesting subject is English.But I find studying English is very difficult.So if you ask which subject is the most difficult to me.My answer will be English.Now I am a student,everyday I have more than one English classes,I like studying it very much and I hope I can study it very well,so I can talk with foreigners and know the foreign countries things,it is very useful.

I have moved to my new school since Septmber. It is a modern and nice school which is in _____(city). It has a playground, a library, several labs, classrooms with electronic equipment and so on. 一、 一般疑问句
一般疑问句也可称为 “yes/no questions”，因这种问句通常用yes/no来回答，相当于汉语中的“……吗？”其语序是：系动词be／助动词/情态动词＋主语＋其他成分？如： Are you from Japan﹖ —Yes I am． / No I'm not．

以疑问词开头，对句中某一成分提问的句子叫特殊疑问句。常用的疑问词有：what who whose which when where how why等。
特殊疑问句有两种语序：
1．如疑问词作主语或主语的定语，即对主语或主语的定语提问，其语序是陈述句的语序：疑问词（＋主语）＋谓语动词＋其他成分？如： who is singing in the room? whose bike is broken?
2．如疑问词作其他成分，即对其他成分提问，其语序是：疑问词＋一般疑问句语序？ 如： what class are you in? What does she look like? Where are you from?

1．回答特殊疑问句时，不能用yes/no，即问什么答什么，尤其是简略回答。如： Who is from Canada? —Helen (is)． Where's the restaurant? —Near the station． Why do you like koalas? —Because they are cute．

特殊疑问句有两种结构形式。
