外国节日的来历2011-02-06 12:01感恩节来历与美国的历史有关。在美洲大地还没有涉足的时候，来自于欧洲的一些人就闯到了这里，这些人里，有的人很穷，有的人很潦倒，有的人是孤身一人，有的人是拖家带口。由于初到这里很生疏所以没有吃也没有穿，这时，当地的印第安人就拿来自己的吃的喝的穿的来帮助这些外来的人。从此以后，就定于每年11月的第四个星期的星期四作为感恩节，以此来记住印第安人的帮助，提醒人们记得帮助过自己的人。由于感恩节由来的历史性，也由于要尊重印第安文化，所以在今天的感恩节美食中，人们主要用火鸡来庆祝感恩节。火鸡在美洲*上比较常见，而且当时正是由于印第安人打来了火鸡，才得以帮助外来的人群战胜了饥饿。
每年12月25日是全世界大多数*徒纪念耶稣诞生的日子.教会开始并无圣诞节，约在耶稣*后百余年内才有。据说：第一个圣诞节是在公元138年，由罗马主教圣克里门倡议举行。而教会史载第一个圣诞节则在公元336年。由于圣经未明记耶稣生于何时，故各地圣诞节日期各异。直到公元440年，才由罗马教廷定12月25日为圣诞节。公元1607年，世界各地教会领袖在伯利恒聚会，进一步予以确定，从此世界大多数的*徒均以12月25日为圣诞节。其实哪一天并不要紧，重要的是应该知道它是为纪念救主耶稣降生。由于圣经记载耶稣生于夜间，故传统称12月24日夜为"圣诞夜"或"平安夜"。

愚人节起源于法国。15年，法国首先采用新改革的纪年法——格里历(即目前通用的阳历)，以1月1日为一年之始。但一些因循守旧的人反对这种改革，依然按照旧历固执地在4月1日这一天送礼品，庆祝新年。主张改革的人对这些守旧者的做法大加嘲弄。聪明滑稽的人在4月1日就给他们送假礼品，邀请他们参加假招待会．并把上当受骗的保守分子称为“四月傻瓜”或“上钩的鱼”。从此人们在4月1日便互相愚弄，成为法国流行的风俗。18世纪初，愚人节习俗传到英国，接着又被英国的早期移民带到了美国。

In sixteenth-century France, the start of the new year was observed on April first. It was celebrated in much the same way as it is today with parties and dancing into the late hours of the night. Then in 1582, Pope Gregory introced a new calendar for the Christian world, and the new year fell on January first. There were some people, however, who hadn’t heard or didn’t believe the change in the date, so they continued to celebrate New Year’s Day on April first. Others played tricks on them and called them “April Fools.” They sent them on a “fool’s errand” or tried to make them believe that something false was ture.
In France today, children fool their friends by taping a paper fish to their friends’backs. When the “young fool” discovers this trick, the prankster yells “April Fish” Today Americans play small tricks on friends and strangers alike on the same day. One common trick is pointing down to a friend’s shoe and saying, “Your shoelace is untied!”Teachers in the nineteenth century used to say to pupils, “Look! A flock of geese!” and point up. School children might tell a classmate that school has been canceled. Whatever the trick, if the innocent victim falls for the joke the prankster yells, “April Fool!”
