忠犬八公的故事
The Tale of Hachiko
八公是一只秋田犬，在一次机缘巧合下，被教授带回了家。
Hachiko was an Akita. One day, a profeesor brought it home by chance.
从此以后，八公就总在教授下班经过的火车站台前等候。年复一年，日复一日，八公始终都坚持等候着主人。
Since then, Hachiko always waited in the railway station where the professor got off after work. Day in and day out, year after year, Hachiko waited its owner.
但是，有一天，教授出去上班，便再也没有回来过。教授在上班时突发心脏病身亡了。
But, one day, the professor never came back from work. He died of a heart attack at work.
八公依旧在站台前等候着主人，因为它相信，教授一定会回来的。
Hachiko still waited for the owner on the platform, because it believed that, the professor would come back.
八公直到死前的那一刻，仍相信，仍在等着回忆里的教授。
Until the moment before its death, the dog still believed that the owner would appear, waiting for the professor in the memory.
